Oh yes... England and Italy are considering nuclear energy again... as is the rest of Europe... and Israel... and china... and India...
But no... not Libya or Iran.
Its all a power play. Nuclear energy is a key to independence where alternative energy is unfeasible. Independence of the oil-suppliers is not on certain nations' agendas.
In terms of nuclear weapons, yes. decades ago they had hundreds of nuclear weapons available. I suspect that the stockpile has not shrunken.
Where did the money come from? Probably the aid money and reparations given to them.
Events like the recent body swap mute criticism of Israel. It is PR in motion - It is actually a variant on the cold war, except that it is a little less frigid and a little more seething.
